Welcome to Mrs. Hernandez’s 8th grade Pre-Algebra class. Apex Middle School is part of the Wake County Public School System and is located in Apex, North Carolina, a suburb of Raleigh. It serves roughly 1200 students in grades 6-8 and employees 60 full-time teachers on staff. About 19% of the students at Apex Middle School receive free or reduced lunch. There are three teachers trained as trainers in Thinking Maps who will be training the staff this summer to begin full implementation in the fall of the 2016-2017 school year.
