Buckleguy has created a slim magnetic closure so sleek it might just replace using other types of snaps in a lot of the pieces I make. These magnetic snaps are perfect for so many different types of leather crafting projects - The smaller ones are perfect for slim bracelets, the larger ones hold strong enough to keep wallets and bag pockets closed. The best part is there aren't any tabs to fold or things to sew in - they simply attach with a smooth rivet cap like a single or double cap rivet, looking and feeling nicer than a normal snap (line 20, etc)! Is this the replacement for snaps as we know it? most definitely not, at least not in a universal way. However these magnetic snaps are a great alternative and innovative piece of hardware that will vastly extend the life of a leather piece and reduce stress on the closure points, so I plan to use them more and more as they're even easier to install than regular snaps :)
