As an addict in recovery, I try to lead by example. Most of my songs are about my struggles through recovery, and even before that- the hell that is addiction. I couldn't have made it to where I am on my own. I owe my sobriety to God's grace. These songs are my testimony. I'm just an Indiana boy who chose the wrong path in life and God led me back straight. This song is THAT southern Indiana testimony. I pray every day that my songs have touched someone's life and helped to get them the help they need and lead someone lost in addiction back to the light. If you're just getting started I'll be honest with you, the path to sobriety isn't easy, but it's worth it. Brighter days are ahead, you just have to trust in the Lord and keep with it.
