This Was Supposed to Be Class Samples…
I finally seem to be back at the sewing machine… and while hunting for fabric for a curves class sample, I discovered a long-forgotten layer cake project shoved in the back of the Cupboard of Doom! So today I’m sharing my current quilt project, using the Papper Sax Sten / Jenny Haynes Drunkard’s Path rulers, sewing curves by machine with the no-pin method, and showing you how the quilt is starting to come together. I’ve also included footage and photos from our recent quilting trip to the American Museum & Gardens near Bath, including the wonderful Gee’s Bend quilts exhibition — which was incredibly inspiring to see in person. And yes… I’m attempting the impossible: Actually finishing a quilt from start to finish instead of adding it to the Cupboard of Doom. Wish me luck. Let me know in the comments: Have you tried sewing curves by machine? And what would YOU do with those leftover fabric strips? So grab a cuppa, take a well-deserved break, and spend ten minutes quilting with me. Unfinished quilts always welcome. 💛 #patchwork #quilting #sewing channel #quilting inspiration
