"This World" was composed between January and May 2014 for NEXUS, the Toronto-based Percussion quartet - Bob Becker, Bill Cahn, Russell Hartenberger and Garry Kvistad. The music is scored for vocalist and four percussionists. The vocalist is Katherine Ciesinski. The music was composed for the 2015 Percussion Rochester Festival at the Eastman School of Music on a theme of environmental sustainability in conjunction with the Rochester Greentopia Festival. The text is the composer’s original poem, "This World".
