Amongst fly fishermen threadfin salmon are one of the most prized species. Enigmatic and at times very challenging, it’s little known that some of the biggest threadies in the country are found as far south as Hervey Bay. It’s here in the Great Sandy Straits that Peter Morse, fishing with guide Mark Bargenquast encounters some amazing fly fishing to big threadfin feeding on jelly prawns.
