A variant of the serendipity (seren -- DIP -- ity), the Three Dollar Dip works as a midge or just a basic attractor pattern. Typically tied (for me anyway) on smaller hooks like 18s and 20s. You can add variety simply by changing your thread color - since the body is made up of thread wraps.
