Throw Down the Staff” is a cinematic folk retelling of Moses and Aaron standing before Pharaoh and casting down the staff before the throne of Egypt.
Built around gritty acoustic storytelling, stomp percussion, low harmonica drones and haunting desert atmosphere, the song follows the moment when Aaron’s staff became a serpent and devoured the serpents of Pharaoh’s magicians.
