As we get ready for Physiotherapists to order imaging in Ontario, we discuss thumb injuries in the context of imaging. Let's consider a patient post trauma/fall with a ski pole, a pickle ball racquet or a walking pole. They present in clinic with a swollen, extremely tender on palpation of the joint line and an unwillingness to move the thumb. Would you consider an X-ray and what would you expect to see on the X-ray? Check out this week's Monday Mover so that you can work to the top of scope and help you patients Monday morning!
