Thy Strong Word

Thy strong Word did cleave the darkness; At Thy speaking it was done. For created light we thank Thee, While Thine ordered seasons run. Alleluia, alleluia! Praise to Thee who light dost send! Alleluia, alleluia! Alleluia without end! "They strong Word bespeaks us righteous; Bright with Thine own holiness, Glorious now, we press toward glory, And our lives our hopes confess. Alleluia, alleluia! Praise to Thee who light dost send! Alleluia, alleluia! Alleluia without end!" This hymn is amazingly powerful. When we turn to God we are reminded of the power of... words. His words created all we see around us. His words ordered all of life. It is the Word of God that we cling to for life not just now but for all eternity. For the Word of God has given us more then just life, it has spoken grace and forgiven. We join together to sing praise to the one who spoke life and eternal life for us.
