The best way to remove tile from a shower is to take it out in big pieces. This reduces the amount of work it takes and also is a safer alternative than breaking up the tile into small chunks. The tools that make the job much easier are; hammer and prybar, electric chipping hammer or mini jack hammer, and multi-tool. Proper safety equipment is a must, including dust control, gloves, respirators, eye protection, ear protection, boots, and heavy duty carhart pants or similar.
