Creating a melody, or a hook: that can be hit or miss. Putting notes down is the easy part, either way (whether or not it sounds good, who knows? eeesh). But when it comes to mixing, I just can't do it, I love all my little sounds that I make and I want them all to be center stage. Blah....
I mix music with my headphones on. Maybe I shouldn't do that. I imagine most people watch videos without headphones, but what do I know?
