Tiny, Full Frame, Autofocus Prime Lens for $75

Since I was a child, I've had the romantic idea of the rugged, lone photojournalist with one camera and one lens, exploring the far corners of the world and capturing images of things never before seen. I guess on a subconscious level, thats what I have been chasing. That one camera and lens combo that would allow me to go anywhere, do anything, and capture every moment along the way. But a big part of that image is the detail about both the camera and the lens being compact. Relatively small. Unobtrusive and easy to forget about. The problem with SLR's over Rangefinders was that both the cameras and the lenses got bigger. This problem only got worse with the advent of digital. DSLRs were bigger than film SLRs. Modern autofocus lenses were bigger than old manual focus lenses. The kit was enlarging at an exponential rate... This problem was even worse if you were a Nikon shooter. While Canon had the inexpensive and tiny 40mm f2.8 pancake lens, Nikon had no such equivalent. The big promise of mirrorless was, in part, the idea that we could not only adapt nearly any lens to any camera, but that the native lenses could finally get smaller while still being high quality, thanks to the short flange distance (just like the old rangefinders). But, as fate would have it, mirrorless lenses somehow ended up even bigger than the DSLR lenses. Heck, even m4/3 lenses ended up being bigger than older full frame lenses. Half of my vision came to fruition when Nikon released the ZF, the perfect camera as far as I am concerned. Quite literally exactly what I had always wanted. But those Z-Mount lenses... even an f1.8 prime is the size of a small car... Then, it happened... Finally, one company stepped forward and delivered what so many had been waiting a lifetime for...
