TITAN MISSILE MUSEUM
The Titan Missile Museum in Sahuarita, Arizona, is a former Titan II Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) site, preserved as a National Historic Landmark to educate the public about the Cold War. It features an inert Titan II missile in its underground silo, a three-level Launch Control Center, and original launch facilities, offering guided tours that allow visitors to see the missile and explore the complex's technology and history. Key features Missile and silo: A 103-foot Titan II missile stands in its original silo, which is 146 feet deep. Launch Control Center: A three-level underground facility with the original control room and launch equipment. Topside area: Includes the missile silo door, alarm systems, and vehicles used for site operations.
