TNET - The Final Countdown

During the first half of 2007, I had the privilege of leading a team of extraordinary people, tasked with delivering an extremely ambitious IT project in a near impossible 10-week timeframe. This was the birth of the IT department of one of Dubai Holdings group subsidiaries, Tatweer Dubai. This group of IT professionals would go on to brand themselves as TNET, deliver one of the most ambitious IT projects in 2007 and within 18 months would achieve ISO 9001:2000 certification and be rated by PriceWaterhouseCoopers as one of the best managed IT departments in the United Arab Emirates. On the eve of running live with the company's new suite of IT services, we hosted a special launch event at the Hyatt Regency in Dubai, to introduce to the staff of Tatweer, and unveil, the suite of IT services that would enable 14 subsidiary companies to effectively run their businesses under the umbrella of Tatweer Corporate. This was literally the "Final Countdown", and I had this video produced as a dedication to all those people that participated in this project, worked their hearts out, endured enormous levels of stress and came out on top to deliver the extraordinary!! You guys were absolutely fantastic and went beyond the call of duty - and I will never forget the 10 weeks of intensive hard work, the many long hours, the countless cups of Starbucks coffees and finally .... the day we went live. This video was filmed in our offices on the 31st floor of Emirates Towers, and the data centre at neighbouring DIFC (Dubai International Financial Centre) and is a snapshot of numerous activities leading up to D-Day - Sunday the 1st of July 2007.
