Tony Townsend is a professional wild dog trapper working in the open woodland forest country of the Northern Tablelands of New South Wales. In this video, Tony explains and demonstrates how to set a flat or basic trap for wild dog control in and around the Tenterfield region. Wild dogs prey on livestock such as sheep, cattle and goats, in some cases to such an extent that they can threaten the economic viability of properties. Wild dogs prey on a variety of animals including mammals, birds and reptiles of all sizes from insects to water buffalo.
