Too Many Mistakes To Count

This little box was made from Walnut and Curly Maple. I ran with an idea and do like it, with one exception. The hinges look awful. I broke my barrel hinge during a dry fit and only had two. So I used the only two hinges I had left. I'll replace them eventually with brass, but it still wont look as clean as it could have. I made a ton of mistakes and show most of them. This project was mainly something to practice dovetails by hand. I got used to the simplicity of doing them with a router and trying to improve my hand tool work. Truth is, I'm very intrigued with hand tool work and will be doing a lot to make myself better at it. I tried a new saw and like my old Japanese pull saw better.
