This is the testing I used to determine the amount of force needed to disengage the tool holder from the spindle. The tool holder started to disengage after 72lbs of pressure was applied. That seems appropriate since each spring is rated for 10 lbs. My ultimate goal is to either find a source that has springs that are the same size in length and diameter but are rated for 25% more applied pressure so that the tool holder disengages right at 100lbs.
