TOP 5 BARS OXFORD

Join me as I have a drink in 5 of Oxford’s top bars! First I enjoyed a Shotover Prospect in the Lamb and Flag. CS Lewis (Narnia fame) and JRR Tolkien used to drink in here. As did Hollywood legends Richard Burton And Liz Taylor! Second stop was The King’s Arms. Another historic pub with great scotch eggs and sausage rolls! Inspector Morse Oxford royalty John Thaw and Kevin Whately had a signed puck on the wall. Nice pint of Youngs Original. Next pub was the lovely Turf Tavern. A gambling den built in the moat outside the old city walls. Great beer in here. Turf Tavern 1381 was delicious. 4th pub, not far from the iconic Bridge Of Sighs, was The White Horse. Grade 2 listed. Bags of charm and character. Nice pint of Adnams Broadside. Final watering-hole was The Bear.
