Tornado warning & sirens at school - 2/27/23

Interestingly, in all of my 13 years in school, this was the very first time I’ve been at school during a tornado warning, just a few months before graduation. As I was sitting down in the office to start sorting out passes for students (for first hour I deliver passes to students around the school), a counselor walked up and mentioned that the sirens were going off and that we should get to shelter. Instinctively, i grabbed by phone, hit record, and ran outside. The school bell hadn’t even rung yet since we start at 10 on Mondays, so kids were still arriving at school, so i blended in with the arriving crowd to avoid being yelled at. After a couple minutes I went back in and took shelter with everyone else in the office.
