The plaintiff says the defendant has been friends with her son for years, and she trusted him. She claims she cosigned on an apartment for the defendant and her son, and once they moved in, they started drinking every day and destroyed the place. She’s suing for damages and unpaid rent. The defendant admits that he did his fair share of drinking once he moved into the apartment, and even admits to some of the damages. But he does not feel responsible for the entire bill.
