TotK Pre-Launch Comprehensive
Tears of the Kingdom officially has the longest development cycle out of any single Zelda (and probably Nintendo) title. Now that the pre release marketing has officially wrapped, I've put together a compilation of highlights of our reactions and thoughts of the title as news released. It's not just a time capsule for the channel, but also for the game's hype cycle, which is always fun to look back on and document. Unfortunately I didn't start making content until the end of 2020, so no footage exists of our initial reactions/thoughts on the initial reveal, but hopefully that's okay. This video is different than anything I've made or scene on YT, and I hope to make more. Some of the clips are excerpts from recordings that have been posted on the channel, and many were never published due to extenuating circumstances. I'm very happy that a lot of this content is getting to be released, and hope to release more of our "bank" of recordings as opportunities come. That being said, even the previously released videos were touched up for a second time, to reflect my slightly improved intuition for making videos, although, I also tried to keep the integrity and character of all the older content. I worked pretty hard on this video and ran into a lot of annoying hiccups due to working with a lot of newer software, and having to track down so much old content. Though the editing and presentation is nothing special compared to the really high standard that's been set by modern YouTube. I'm happy I managed to get this vid out within a week of the latest trailer, and I'm looking forward to getting back into making content a bit more regularly (hopefully). Apologies for a few cases of bad mixing. I was already running behind schedule with this vid, and had to get it out in order to not push back other exciting projects. The nature of pulling together content over the years will lead to an evolving philosophy of optimal volume I guess. Every time I watch through a test run to make sure everything seems good about an hour passes due to the video length and render lag. Even though I did have the drive to fix these things the time dilatation was just too strong. In the future this likely won't be as much of a problem. I don't tend to write much in the descriptions, but I'm kind of delirious atm, and was feeling sentimental due to all the nostalgia. If you read this entire thing: please comment: "Lihem sux" and put a random time stamp just to confuse him.
