Download TouchOSC Bridge from hexler.net Download new TouchOSC for desktop for your OS Download ITunes and install on your desktop/laptop Next, Decide if you want to connect via USB or wirelessly. If USB, plug in your ipad/iphone. If Wifi, make sure that your iphone/ipad and computer are connected to the same router. Check your firewall settings and allow anything related to TouchOSC, your DAW, Bonjour, and TouchOSC Bridge On your ipad/iphone, under the linked chains icon connections: On the MIDI Tab: Check mark connection 1 and click browse to find your midi bridge for both the send and receive port. On the OSC Tab: Checkmark Connection 1, choose UDP as the type, browse for your host IP address (the ip address of your computer) Send port: 8000, Receive port 9000 Zero conf: LogicTouch On the Bridge Tab: Checkmark connection 1, browse for host IP address (the ip address of your computer) On your DAW of choice: For Midi information: Dynamics, Vibrato, Expression, Keyswitching, or literally any MIDI CC# Go into your settings/preferences and make sure TouchOSC Bridge is a midi input, enabled for input and control messages. Also make sure it is selected as a midi output. This is your bridge for just the midi information. For OSC information: DAW Control, play, stop, record, click on and off, fader control, pan control, sends control, mutes, solos, etc. For Control Surfaces, create a new option using control surface mode OSC. Device name: whatever you want Pattern Config: LogicTouch Mode: Configure Device IP+Local Port Device port: 9000 Local Listen Port: 8000 Device IP: Your Iphone or Ipad’s IP address Local IP: Your Desktop/Laptops IP Address On your track that you are trying to control with both a midi controller like a keyboard AND touchOSC to control dynamics/vibrato/keyswitching/literallyanyMIDICC, then make sure your input is both the MIDI Controller AND TouchOSC Bridge, or if those are all you are using, you may be able to select ALL Midi Inputs. If something isn’t working, here are the top things to double check. Make sure your touchOSC bridge is really running. Double click the black icon with the white B on it. Nothing will seem to happen, but if you check your taskbar you will see its now running. Make sure you press the sideways triangle play icon on your touchosc device, this is like live mode where doing things actually sends. Double check on your ipad/iphone that you are connected to the currently active midi bridge by pressing browse for both send and receive. Double check on your ipad/iphone that you have the OSC IP address and ports that match what you have on your control surface setup on your DAW. Install itunes and/or Bonjour Double check your firewall settings, and enable send and receive from any port that has to do with touchosc, bridge, or your DAW.
