Now, when comparing the Chinese import DROs they are all very similar. in short, I do think that the Tpac tools DRO is more accessible to hobbyists given the manual. While it has typos and some odd grammar it is understandable and engaging.
The TOAuto is a better value in regards to overall cost and features. it's very very inexpensive for what it is, and provides all the features of the TPAC tools at about half the price. Unfortunately the limited instructions and lower quality mounting hardware holds it back, but obviously not enough that I felt it wasn't worth putting in the shop.
now what do you guys think?
ps When I was talking about machine tool makers I was thinking of Hardinge, not Monarch for some reason!
