Tune in for my latest video on a classic and yet somewhat lesser known exercise called the Reverse Hyper Curl via a compact but hefty little device by Rogue called Reverse Hyper Scout Edition. Here I discuss the reverse hyper exercise itself in terms of it's pros and cons and whether or not it belongs in your training arsenal at home or in the garage. I do this by giving a brief overview of it's solid frame and much appreciated heft at around 100lbs, a decent amount for a product that's made to be moved around and collapsed. More importantly, I also briefly discuss the Reverse Hyperextension and why it's such and effective extensor muscle group (or what's also often called the "posterior chain") exercise a person can do due to its unique position (especially according to the late and legendary Louie Simmons of Westside Barbell). Given the importance of the posterior chain for not only elite powerlifting but potentially day to day performance, it's work exploring whether or not it has a place in your training arsenal. Furthermore, while commercial gyms are starting to get glute ham raise (GHR) machines, the same isn't true of reverse hyper machines. So tune in and learn if this might be an oversight and how to maximize extensor strength using a reverse hyper machine...oh ya, and there's also a bonus exercise included. Please subscribe and let me know what you think. I hope this helps. **Disclaimer: always consult your doctor prior to starting an exercise program and what if any precautions you may have.
