Happy Wayback Wednesday! In our 3rd trip to The Archives, we're turning back the clock almost 15 years, to the origins of my hobby of filming trains. (I've been taking pictures way longer though) Unfortunately, most of these clips were shot at night, because of my work schedule at the time, so if you want you can think of this as a "Train ASMR" video(LOL). There are some rough pans and blurs and also some commentary from me and my friends, but at the time I didn't really know what I was doing.
As for the content, keeping in mind we are only 10 years removed from the demise of our Beloved Conrail and there are still alot of reminders left behind. Most notably, in this montage, a large amount Dash-8 leaders as evidenced by their lit up nose-mounted number boards. There is also a decent amount of Conrail's distinctive Lesley Horn present, along with a couple locos painted blue and a fair amount of rolling stock still earning revenue.
