Transcending the Either Or (New Thought Easter)

April 9, 2023 Message: Transcending the Either/Or Speaker: Rev. Lezli Goodwin New Vision Center for Spiritual Living This is traditionally our busiest Sunday of the whole year, which is hardly a surprise since it's Easter! It can also be one of our most activated weeks, as the focus on traditional scripture and religion (somewhat atypical for our congregation) opens up many powerful conversations. Each of us has opinions about what New Vision Center should focus on and how. We should hear more about Jesus, less about Jesus, nothing about Jesus. We should celebrate the traditional Christian holidays as we are Christian. Or we're Metaphysical Christians. Or we're not Christians at all. And everyone is right, because there are infinite right ways to walk out this powerful path and ALL of it is good. People are so funny, the way we try to force ourselves and others into either/or thinking. We think we have to be either Christian OR spiritual, metaphysical OR religious, sacred OR secular, use critical thinking OR have faith. In this time of renewal and rebirth, let's call forth the yes/and -- inviting and including every aspect of The One into our experience, all at the same time. Now, THAT is DIVINE!
