I threw some curve balls into this lick... including some odd rudiments and a 7-let over 1.5 beats. :)
Is there a name for that cheese-like rudiment? If not, what should we call them???
One thing I learned about myself while producing this video is that I really need to practice more often at slower tempos. I found the lick really difficult to play accurately at the slower tempo of 110 beats per minute. If you haven't seen the Nick Werth "RHYTHM OF CONSCIENCE" videos yet, please check those out. He is a master at playing odd meters perfectly in time.
