These electronic components are used for regulating and controling current. They are most
often used as either switches or signal amplifiers.
A typical transistor has 3 terminals called: the emitter, base, and collector.
The base is responsible for controlling the transistor. The collector is
the positive lead, and emitter is the negative lead.
