Transmitting Sound Using Light!

After posting my short of this project, several people reached out to ask for a tutorial. So here it is, for all of you that may be interested in a project that uses visible light to transmit information (similar to how we use radio waves and fiber optic systems to transmit information). The project involves some simple circuit building and is actually a lot of fun, even if you are unfamiliar with things like jumper wires and breadboards (like I was!) If you want to replicate this project, you'll need: • 9V batteries (2) • Electronics breadboard • TDA2030A Audio Amplifier • Audio cable to connect to audio source with a male 3.5mm auxiliary jack • Female to Alligator clip jumper wires (4) • Male to Alligator clip jumper wires (2) • Male to Male jumper wires (2) • G4 LED bulb • Multimeter or voltmeter • Small flathead screwdriver • Small solar panel with alligator clip wires attached • Small powered speaker with male 3.5mm auxiliary jack If you want to use a laser instead of the LED you will also need: • 270 Ohm resistor • KY-008 Red Laser Transmitter
