Quick little project of a nail header here. I've made similar tools on this channel before, but I wanted to test out a welding flux mixture that I've tried a few times before. It's a mixture of flux and black iron power (ferrous oxide), mixed at 4:1 borax to iron powder. It holds the steel plate to the body of the nail header more securley than just fluxing would, and it made for a nice seamless weld. The top plate was sized to match the body, so I didn't want it sliding around.
This is also the last video I will have made with my old camera, which I haven't liked since I started using it. From here on out, the videos should look a little better, and hopefully are easier to film as well.
