Full title reads: "Trooping the Colour on His Majesty's first birthday as Monarch". London. Various shots of King Edward VIII (formerly Prince of Wales, later Duke of Windsor) riding horse out of gates to Buckingham Palace. Cheering crowds line the Mall and around the Queen Victoria memorial. Dressed in military uniform he leads a parade of Horse guards down Mall towards Horse guards Parade. He wears a black arm band, still in mourning for his father, King George V. Behind the King ride Prince Albert (Duke of York, later King George VI), Prince Henry (Duke of Gloucester) and Prince George (Duke of Kent). The King and Princes take their positions on parade ground.
