October 2021. TruckSim includes several examples of truck platooning. Truck platooning improves fuel economy by safely decreasing the distance between them reducing aerodynamic drag. This is accomplished with electronic control, such as camera, radar, and GPS systems that allow the trucks to exchange information instantaneously. This video covers how TruckSim can be used to model this autonomous behavior.
