Trust the Swing

In this devotional, “Trust the Swing,” we talk about the doors God opens, the doors He closes, and the faith it takes to trust Him in both. Sometimes the Lord closes a door for a season because He is redirecting us toward something greater in the next. In Acts 16, Paul wanted to preach in Asia, but the Holy Spirit stopped him. Instead of forcing the door open, Paul obeyed God’s redirection—and that obedience helped shape the mission that would eventually impact the world. What if Paul had ignored the Lord’s “no”? What if he had pushed through a closed door just because it looked like a good opportunity? Sometimes closed doors are not rejection; they are protection, preparation, and divine direction. Be encouraged today: God knows which way the door swings. Trust His timing, trust His voice, and trust the swing.
