My buddy Nathan (@butterfieldwood) gave me his old lathe. It is a Boice Crane from around the 1940's. I'm very excited to to start learning to turning and making cool things.
Someone threw out a comment for me to "make me a bat". I had a small piece of cherry that was left over from the fire wood pile. Decided to throw it on and try making a mini bat. I assume they meant a full sized bat, but this is a start.
This is only my 4th time, about hour 3, on the lathe so everything is really new to me. So, this is by no means a how-to video, just me having fun learning a new skill!
