Forgive the cat!
She finally relinquished her seat on the notebook with the important docker notes in it! That means we can get back to the originally scheduled demo of setting up a network service in Docker. For that to work, we need to convert the contents of a "docker run" command that adguard provided into a "docker-compose" instruction file.
In this video, we covered:
- Adguard, the DNS filtering service
- Converting the contents of a docker run command into a docker-compose.yml file.
- Basic network/application port mapping explanation.
- Troubleshooting my typos (I should really just leave this one on every video, y'all know it's gonna be there)
- Access Adguard from the VM's browser over port 3000 for final configurations.
- Logging into Adguard
- A few Linux Basics reminders
See y'all again next week for what might be the end of this series or just the tangent into the next topic of containerization. Later!
