Tutorial #39: Synthesizer | YOU Can Beatbox
http://www.facebook.com/theorthobox Siren Tutorial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1zE3wwC9-0w Sonic Boom Tutorial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rsDNGwoAwf0 Welcome back to YOU Can Beatbox. Today we’ll be learning a synthesizer sound, somewhat like Tom Thum makes [demo]. This is a compound sound, meaning that it takes two sounds that we’ve already learned and combines them to create a new one. The first sound is the siren or laser noise [demo]. The link to the full length tutorial is in the description down below or you can click here [annotation]. The siren is made by using your falsetto or head voice [demo], and by both humming and singing at the same time, place your top teeth on your lower lip. With practice, this will get you your siren sound [demo]. If you’re having trouble with this, please watch the original tutorial or leave a comment with what you need help with. Ok, part one of the synthesizer sound is the siren. Component number 2 is the distortion sound that we first saw back with the sonic boom [demo]. By breathing out deeply, your vocal chords shake a little bit and get a cool distortion sound like this [demo]. That’s part two of the synthesizer sound. Now, by combining the siren and the distortion, you get the synthesizer, like this [demo]. Control the pitch by singing a different falsetto note and change the distortion by breathing out at a different rate. And badabing badaboom you have a new sound. Here are two practice beats: Synth K^ bB B K^ synth K^ B K^ x2 Synth synth K^ t t t t K^ t ts Woohoo that’s all for today’s episode.
