Installing tension control (TC) bolts? There's a method for that.
The Twist-Off Tension Control Bolt method is one of the installation methods outlined by the RCSC. Performing a pre-installation verification (PIV) ensures each bolt reaches the minimum required pretension prior to working on the structure.
In this video, we demonstrate this method using a 3/4" TC bolt, a shear wrench and a bolt tension measure device to verify installation meets specifications.
