A projectile is launched upward at an angle from height above the ground. You are asked to determine where it will land. The horizontal displacement is what you are calculating. I show how to solve this problem three different ways. Two solutions using only motion equations and one solution using motion equations and the quadratic formula. Each solution is in a different video. In parts 1 and 2 I show how to break the problem down and to make it easy to understand. You can solve this problem without using the quadratic formula. If you are familiar with the quadratic formula you can watch part 3 I'll take you through the steps. You choose the best method for you. Pause the video and try to stay ahead of me.
