Lae city started off the week on a bad note with two major robberies yesterday morning happening within a span of two hours.
Police say that at about 8am an unknown number of men armed with high powered guns held up Pelgen’s Supermarket and walked off with a large sum of money.
Two hours later, around 10am, Lae International Hotel was also robbed.
Lae Metropolitan Commander Chief Superintendent, Anthony Wagambie, says in both robberies the suspects got away on a waiting vehicle.
