After gliding along a river in the Mekong Valley, Vietnam, I stumbled upon a fisherman on the side of the Saigon river in Ho Chi Minh City. The contrast had me pondering the nature of cities.
Some of the concepts are influenced by British Physicist Geoffrey West who wrote an excellent, thought-provoking book called "Scale."
