In this video I tie and discuss my favorite point fly, the jig bugger. I often fish the fly when tight line nymphing, but I also frequently fish it under an indicator, and sometimes jig or strip it as a micro streamer. I fish it from size 8-12 and in olive, brown, and black. However, the olive size 10 is the version i fish the most by far. A bonus nugget of information: the smaller feathers in a pheasant tail clump, despite being thick stemmed and tough to wrap, make a very cool looking substitution for the soft hackle at the front. Putting the fibers of these feathers in a dubbing loop and trimming off the stem can make them much easier to wrap.
