Typing Diacritics with normal Android keyboard

The standard way to type diacritic characters for languages like French, illustrated with the Rossel language of Milne Bay Province, Papua New Guinea. One day I'll describe a faster way to type them, using a free keyboard manager called "Keyman". But first I have to work out how to use it myself :-)
