Nkengas-Ube Frank Special. This song comes off the Nkengas Destruction album which came out in 1973. The Nkengas would later go on to become Ikenga Superstars of Africa and would achieve much acclaim with songs like " Ikenga Go Marry Me" and " Long Live Africa". The Ikenga Superstars were a highlife band of Nigeria during the 70s, but I don't consider this a highlife song, I consider it more of a soulful funk igbo song ( if that makes any sense). Something about the trumpet/saxphone in this song reminds me of an early 90s rap song. I know this isn't consistent with the theme I have been going with, but I like this song.
