The UDOT Traffic & Safety division is thrilled to release the long-awaited video on Roundabouts. The idea of this video is to showcase the benefits of roundabouts (especially the safety benefit) to a wide variety of audiences, from internal UDOT to local cities and municipalities to the public at-large or other stakeholders.
Roundabouts are not the perfect solution at all intersections. In fact, they're probably not the right solution at the majority of intersections. However, in the right locations, roundabouts can be a very safe and efficient way to move not just motor vehicles, but pedestrians and bicyclists too.
