The part at 13:12 could be also accomplished with a Lerp using with a scalar parameter plugged into the alpha. That is a lot less complicated than what I did.
There were a few mistakes in the emissive mask, listed below:
The mask needs to be clamped to 0-1 because it can go into negative numbers and cause display problems.
Divide serves no purpose here, it was just for showing the concept and got left in.
There's an extra Floor that isn't doing anything.
