This is another iteration of my procedural planet system...I'm still trying to sneak past lengthy cpu process times but for now, it works, ish... I capped the fps at 30fps for testing purposes I think I went on to unlock it...
There's a good amount of detail under the player region and it's great for something that's 10km in diameter so I'm not too fussed as that's more than enough for a large open world level.
I've tested this with a 60km planet. Besides the awful loss of float precision and few rough tweaks to the world origin, it actually worked! I was floored lol.
The annoying repetitive music was something I threw together in lmms :D
I didn't make a cloud layer for planetary views from the distance... hmmm that could be a thing....
