The committee leader is revealed as Alien Khan in disguise, plotting to manipulate Orphy and drive it into a rampage for its own sinister purposes. Ultraman Taro confronts the corrupted Orphy in a musical-themed battle, ultimately freeing the monster from Alien Khan's control. Orphy returns to its peaceful ways, and the episode ends on an uplifting note with Orphy's song (including a rendition of "My Blue Bird") as villagers celebrate harmony between humans and the benevolent kaiju.
