twitter: https://twitter.com/madmrbacon Cross recently made the marvel community aware of how the game decides which character to target in happy birthday situations when an attack cannot hit both characters. Apparently discovered by a player named Maluk, by using knowledge of which character will get hit by a non-piercing attack, you can deliberately choose your team out of order and hold an assist button to put them back into your desired order, but in such a way that your assist will take non-piercing hits thus protecting your point character. Of course, shout outs to @x_cross_x and @Maalluuk99 for popularizing and discovering the tech respectively. The music is Interceptor by Mitch Murder. Since it already differs depending on system and player side, I wouldn't be that surprised if somehow game region was also a variable in things as well. My results differed in a few cases from Cross's tweet on who is prioritized over who: https://twitter.com/x_cross_x/status/633555725659172864 I have been unable to determine the reason for this thus far. I tested both versions of the game on both player sides and conducted the tests multiple times to reduce the chance of error.
