Developers spend most of their time working with MPGW policy. Understanding MPGW policy lets you instantly understand other policies present in DataPower, for example Web Services Proxy Policies and others.

Note:
1. A policy is set of rules and it can have 0 rules. However such a policy will not be useful in practice.
2. Match actions, although seen on processing rules, are technically not part of the rules.
3. Each individual processing rule can be exported independent of others and can be deployed on target appliance.
